I ran into a similar issue with my tweets after a trip to Croatia. Over 1000 fresh ones had come in. I’ve since switched to using Google Reader to keep up with most of my tweets, which is really helping my phone’s battery life.
Welcome back to Galway…I’m just getting the hang of Google reader. Still don’t get Twitter.
